Privacy Policy

Short version: I collect only what you choose to send me through the contact forms on this site, I use it only to respond to you, and I don't sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list.

Who this covers

This policy applies to globalpointventures.com and any information submitted through it. In this document, "I" and "we" refer to Global Point Ventures, based in Houston, Texas.

What I collect

The only personal information this site collects is what you type into a contact form and submit. Depending on which form you use, that may include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Whether you're an owner, a broker, or something else
  • The general location of a business or facility
  • Whatever you write in the message field

I do not ask for and do not want financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through this website. Please don't send them here. If a transaction reaches the point where that kind of information is needed, it will be handled through a secure channel and a signed confidentiality agreement.

How I use it

I use what you send to respond to your inquiry, evaluate whether a business might be a fit, and continue the conversation if we both want to. If you've asked to be introduced to another buyer or investor, I will share only what you've authorized me to share, and only with people you've agreed to.

I do not use your information to send newsletters, promotional email, or automated marketing sequences. I answer inquiries personally.

Confidentiality

Conversations about selling a business are sensitive. I treat inquiries as confidential by default. I don't list, publicize, or shop around the businesses that contact me, and I don't disclose that a conversation is happening to your tenants, employees, competitors, or anyone else without your permission.

Service providers

Two third parties touch this site in the ordinary course of it working:

  • Netlify hosts the website and processes form submissions. Netlify receives the contents of any form you submit and standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type. Netlify's own privacy practices are published at netlify.com.
  • Google Fonts serves the typeface used on this site. Loading the font may expose your IP address and browser information to Google.

Beyond these, I don't share your information with anyone except as described in this policy or as required by law.

What I don't do

  • I don't sell or rent your personal information.
  • I don't run advertising on this site or share your information with advertisers.
  • I don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
  • I don't add form submissions to any mailing list.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Netlify may set limited cookies necessary for the site and its spam protection to function. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated to say so.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiry records for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case it resumes. If you'd like your information deleted, ask and I'll delete it, subject to any records I'm legally required to retain.

Your choices

You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. I honor these requests regardless of whether a particular law applies to you.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS and form data is transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please use judgment about what you send through a web form.

Children

This site is intended for business owners, brokers, and investors. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
